Amp Draw
Amp Draws should be checked on all motors and compressors.
Excessive amp draws can indicate other problems with the system
or even a faulty motor or compressor about to burn out.
Low amp draws will also indicate system problems that need to be
thoroughly checked.
A compressor not pulling full amps will most likely not be cooling
your home very well causing higher than normal electric bills. Some
causes of low compressor amps can be as simple as low refrigerant.
